Imperium Grafus

The dark grey colour in particular stands out in the Imperium Grafus facing bricks. Brown tones can show up with intrinsic imperfections. Furthermore, the bricks are slightly rough, unsanded and matt for added texture.
 
Imperium bricks share many aesthetic characteristics with Roman building traditions. The brown basic bricks are finished with a calcareous layer as a tribute to the Roman tradition of covering their walls with cement often referred to as the 'bagged' look. The resulting rustical appearance is unique and proving to be very popular in New Zealand.
